Straight from the kick off Heanor put Carlton under pressure and it wasn’t long before Carlton conceded again through poor organisation and defending within the back line for second week running. Still under pressure Carlton broke away to attack Heanor with good passing and movement off the ball to equalise through Shaun Clarke striking a fierce shot outside of the 18 yard box, Carlton had seemed to settle down and began to start passing the ball around and it wasn’t much longer before they went ahead with some good work down the left hand side again from Shaun Clarke delivering a perfect cross for Ashley Winfield to rise above and head home to take Carlton into the lead at half time. Carlton was still in the changing rooms and Heanor equalised within minutes of starting the second period as Danny Hayes struggled with an injury he sustained in the first half. Hayes was brought off and with a shuffled side Carlton managed to salvage a point under immense pressure against a hard working Heanor side that without any doubt will take points of other sides
